Rituals
I love Rituals
- smoking (the preliminary act of rolling, not actually smoking)
- Chinese tea ceremony (but kinda different, not that great, )
- measuring blood glucose and ketones
- taking out film from a camera
- starting a car, conform to the exam norms
- scratching a lottery ticket
Rolling cigarettes and measuring blood are my favorite because of two reasons
- they are not conventional ceremonial acts. If you search up rituals on the internet, you will find tea rituals but not cigarettes. That unconventional aspect is interesting
- they are not too complex but not simple. They need more than 3 steps (in contrast to other more simpler repetitive tasks) but they don't have the traditional aspect of a tea ceremony
A ritual, of the which I'm in the search of , is defined by
- repetition (repetition legitimatizes said musician and youtuber Adam Neely )
- in a colinear way as repetition, it shall be done frequently
- balance of simplicity and complexity(more than 3 steps, less than 8ish)
